Delta-8 THC is the new cannabis craze, but there’s another hemp-derived THC on the scene: Delta-10-THC.
When we chat about typical THC, the main pyschoactive compound in cannabis, we’re talking about Delta-9. Since Indiana is not a legalized state, we’ve found a new best friend in Delta-8-THC due to it’s milder, gentler “HIGH”, and obviously, a much different legal status. Since it’s derived from Hemp, it has the same legal status as CBD and can be shipped to many states that haven’t legalized cannabis for medical or recreational use yet.
While Delta-10 isn’t quite as popular as delta-8 yet, it’s growing in popularity for its more cerebral, sativa-esque high that’s a lot more mild than what you get from recreational cannabis. Many people describe the Delta-8 “HIGH” as a mix between Delta-9-THC and CBD, with relaxing body effects and a less-potent head high.

SO what is delta-10-thc?
So, Delta-8 and Delta-10 operate on the same basic concept. While they’re both derived from hemp in different ways, they are still cannabinoids that occur naturally in Cannabis. With Delta-8-THC and Delta-10-THC being different versions of THC, it all comes down to where the bonds are in the chemical structure of the plant. Standard THC has a bond on the 9th carbon chain of its molecule—hence, delta-9 (you’re typically recreational cannabis) and having a bond on the 8th or 10th instead makes enough of a difference to alter the way it interacts with our body, but not enough to make its effects totally unfamiliar.
Depending on what you look for in cannabis, you might prefer one or another. But, luckily for you, you don’t have to choose.
